Who am I?
I guess you could say that I am a God loving mom
trying to make it through life,
one day at a time,
on a shoestring budget,
trusting God until it hurts
and hoping to be just a fraction of the Proverbs 31 woman by the time I get to the Celestial City, lol!
I don’t have it all figured out but I am working on becoming a better wife, mother, singer/worshiper, blogger, teacher, employee and friend!
I started this blog to share my thoughts, struggles, prayers, inspirational writings, health concerns and biblical teachings. It is a blog about me, Mariana and my crazy, upbeat and upcycled life.
I hope to inspire you to greatness or at least make you laugh with some of my posts.
Now for the more theological and not so theological stuff:
I believe in one God creator of heaven and earth.
I believe he sent His son Jesus to die for our sins.
I believe that son, Jesus, did resurrect after death and is seated in heaven.
I believe in the indwelling power of the holy spirit and the baptism of believers.
I believe salvation is a gift from God and accessible to all who heed to His calling.
I believe in the power of prayer to change things, but I also know that Gods will is perfect and although He may not grant me what I am praying for, He works everything together for my good in the end.
I believe that we are all called into ministry, men, women, youth and children. Ministry means serving, and we are all called to serve in our churches and homes as Jesus did while He lived on earth.
I believe that women have been misrepresented in the church and mistreated due to inaccurate interpretations of scripture allowing for husbands to tyrannically rule over and abuse their wives.
I believe that submission in biblical terms is voluntarily cooperating with someone; first out of love and respect for God and second out of love and respect for that person.
I believe that submission is not tyranny instead its a beautiful picture of how the church, the bride of Christ submits to Him, the groom.
I believe that when in Genesis 2:18 the Lord mentions creating a helper for Adam, people have taken that and interpreted it in a million different ways. The word Helper in the original Hebrew is Ezer which originates from the word Azar, means to: aid, protect, support, offer non material encouragement, give aid in the form of military assistance in battle.
That changes things completely from the ignorant thought that men are to take on all of the responsibility and handle all the stress of the world on their shoulders while their loving wives stay home and say: “Oh well, he is the provider, if he screws up its his problem, I am called to raise my kids and get my hair done….Amen”
I believe that as wives we are called to stand behind our men in battle, to offer relief, support, to be right up there with them in the front lines not sitting out on the bleachers drinking lemonade and gossiping with friends.
I believe wives are called to submit to the spiritual authority God has granted their husbands and work side by side with their husbands to carry out the work of the Father, which is the sole purpose of marriage, to bring Glory to our Father in heaven.
I believe we need to be careful in the way we dress and carry ourselves. Men, women and children should keep modesty and purity in mind at all times when exercising, swimming at the beach, going to church, shopping etc…
I believe that each person who loves God and has accepted to follow Christ and His commands should invest the time everyday to pray, seek anointing from Gods Holy Spirit and study the scriptures in depth so no one deceives you.
